Defining Good Criteria
A good criterion is factual, measurable, and not subject to interpretation.
The Principle
Omogen evaluates candidates based on your criteria. The more precise and objective they are, the more relevant and consistent the evaluation will be across all candidates.
Good vs. Bad Criteria
| ❌ Subjective criterion | ✅ Factual criterion |
|---|---|
| "Motivated" | "Available immediately" |
| "Dynamic" | "Valid driver's license" |
| "Good communicator" | "2 years of B2B sales experience" |
| "Comfortable with numbers" | "Proficient in Excel — pivot tables" |
| "Serious" | "Associate degree or equivalent" |
| "Significant experience" | "Minimum 5 years of management experience" |
Practical Rule
Ask yourself this question for each criterion:
Can a person answer "yes" or "no" objectively to this criterion?
If yes → it is a good criterion for Omogen. If no → rephrase it or do not include it in the automated evaluation criteria.
