Filtering Outbound Calls by Country
Control your geographic scope by restricting outbound calls based on the candidate's phone number country.
Principle
You can define a whitelist or a blacklist of countries for outbound calls. A candidate whose phone number corresponds to a filtered country will not be called by Alex.
| Mode | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Whitelist | Only candidates whose number corresponds to authorized countries will be called |
| Blacklist | Candidates whose number corresponds to excluded countries will not be called |
Two Configuration Levels
Filtering works on two levels:
| Level | Scope | Who Can Configure It |
|---|---|---|
| Corporation | Applies to all organizations in the corporation | Corporation administrators |
| Organization | Applies to a specific organization, can override the corporation filter | Organization administrators |
The organization filter takes precedence over the corporation filter. This allows an organization to have different rules from the rest of the corporation.
Configuring the Filter
- Go to your Organization Settings
- Open the "Calls" section (or "Phone Configuration")
- Set the filtering mode (whitelist or blacklist)
- Select the relevant countries
- Save
What Happens to a Filtered Candidate?
When a candidate is excluded by the country filter:
- The call process does not trigger
- The candidate remains in your list with a status indicating the call was not made
- You can modify the filter at any time to include that country
Use Cases
- Cost control — Avoid expensive international calls to certain countries
- Regulatory compliance — Comply with local regulations on automated calls
- Geographic targeting — Focus your calls on geographic areas relevant to the position
